I've always enjoyed every special light and weather condition and the challenge of capturing this variety in my art.

In this painting, I became intrigued by the halo of intense light that excited the line of the mane and head of this patient pony. It was an unusual time of day and year that was captured in an instant and prompted "Wintry Aura".
